Given the quality of their music, Satellite Train, which released two major indie hits in 2024 called “Superstar” and “Wings,” both of which reached the independent charts, took a while to release something in 2025. But here they are, proving that the wait for their work was worth it.
That’s because “Paralyzed”, the newest song, is simply enchanting and comes as no surprise to those who know the band’s abilities. But, as there’s never too much of a good thing, we’re faced with a composition where they hit the nail on the head, in terms of execution, production and overall work, practically bordering on perfection.
One smart thing the band did was to take the formula that solidified it and give it a little extra boost, showing a natural evolution. The music continues with that alternative pop rock, but with more polished elements and an increasingly better cohesion. It kind of just improves the tactical scheme of the game they play.
In its particularities, “Paralyzed” has an interesting dynamic, with the band speeding up a little more. Light touches of AOR, with guitars accompanying discreet keyboards, set the tone of the song, which has a wonderful chorus. All with stunning, emotional female vocal work that moves even the most skeptical.
