The opus expands into a luscious, alternative meets soft rock hybrid energy as the rising Australian band deliver an emotive and evocative performance with poetic prowess and depth.

We learn that Satellite Train was “originally conceived as a fun side project between friends”, and that musicians from various Australian and American bands make up the outfit, including Michael Paynter of Icehouse, John Watson of James Reyne, John McCall of The Black Sorrows, Randy Jacobs of Paul Kelly, Shane O’Mara of Paul Kelly, Pasquale Monea of Stephen Cummings, Jamie Muhoberac of John Mayer and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction.

Michael Paynter‘s vocal performance is simply out of this world, fused with incredible instrumentation, creating a cohesive tapestry of sound and an emotive concept that has us in awe. The immense build of Broken Heart takes us on a transcendental journey, and the collective power of the band members and their experience really comes through in the composition.

We have added the dynamic and magnetic single to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream Satellite Train‘s wider discography including the live version of Love My Way, and Lies.
